Music Camps for All
The music doesn’t stop when the sun comes out. WCM has exciting summer camp opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels. Make new friends, prepare for school year auditions, learn new skills, and perform for your family and friends at one (or more!) of our awesome camps this summer.

Grade 2 – 6
Music Exploration Camp
At our Music Exploration Camps, children entering grades 2 – grade 6 will meet new friends while learning about music- by making music! Campers will sing, drum, and play ukulele every day- AND have an opportunity to meet instruments through performances from our amazing Conservatory faculty. No prior experience is needed, but an enthusiasm for music and fun is absolutely required! On the last day of our week together, it will be the campers’ turn to take the stage and perform in a final showcase that will be open for all to attend!
Ages: Entering Grade 2 – Grade 6 in Fall 2024

Grade 6 – 12
Jazz Camp
Middle and high school students will enjoy a deep-dive into jazz improvisation, music theory, music production, and history while receiving small group instruction in a jazz combo. Classes include small group combo playing, improvisation, jazz theory, electronic music production and recording, group piano class, Brazilian samba percussion ensemble, and more!
Ages: Entering Grade 6 – Grade 12 in Fall 2024. Graduating seniors are welcome and encouraged to register!

Grade 4 – 12
Chamber Music Camp
Perform as member of a trio, quartet, or quintet- and create friendships through music! String, piano, woodwind, guitar, and brass students will receive coaching, take master classes, and join in a variety of electives. Camp culminates in a Friday afternoon performance for family and friends.
Ages: Entering Grade 4 – Grade 12 in Fall 2024. Graduating seniors are welcome and encouraged to register!

Adults
3-Day Adult Jazz Camp
Beginner, intermediate and advanced adult jazz students will enjoy a 3-day schedule focused on combo performance and improvisation. This camp includes two 2-hour rehearsal and improvisation sessions on Wednesday and Thursday night, culminating in a small group performance at the school-wide Jazz Camp concert on Friday.
Ages: 18 and up

Summer Intergenerational Orchestra
Make music with friends, family and everyone in between in WCM’s all-school, multi-level summer orchestra! Students will prepare music over 8 rehearsals, culminating in a final concert on August 15. Open to students 8 and up, with at least two years experience on a string instrument (or Suzuki book 2 and up).
Ages: 8 and up
