One of my primary motivations for seeking a position at WCM is the opportunity to utilize my skills and talents to benefit youth and the community. While music has always been my passion, community service is a significant driving force for me. I aim to leverage my musical abilities to educate children on how music can serve as a tool for emotional upliftm ent during challenging times, as well as a means to promote positivity and kindness.

Describe a musical experience or teacher that had a positive impact on you.
The individual who has had the most significant impact on me is my high school teacher, Mr. Roberts, who instructs both the Advanced Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. When it comes to singing, I tend to be my own harshest critic, striving for perfection in my musical performances while often being unkind to myself when I make mistakes. Mr. Roberts has imparted to me the understanding that it is acceptable to make errors, emphasizing that music is ultimately about the enjoyment of doing what one loves. His humble and kind demeanor is a rarity within the educational community, and his wise words have left a long-lasting impression on me. From there, I have incorporated his teachings and advice into my own singing and performing endeavors.
