Concert Companion Series — Early Music Now: The Blood of the Rose with Charlie Rasmussen (10/03)
Led by members of WCM’s faculty artists and held at the Historic McIntosh-Goodrich Mansion on Prospect Avenue, these classes provide a world of insight into the composers and music of a featured performance. Members will learn about, listen to, and discuss the music for three weeks before experiencing it in person, together! Wine and cheese are offered at most classes, and the cost of the ticket is included in the cost of enrollment. All classes are held on Saturday at 3:00 pm. Concerts are on Saturday evening, unless otherwise indicated. Join other early music enthusiasts for a deep dive into 18th-century Peruvian Baroque music through an instrumental adaptation of the tragic love story of Venus and Adonis.
WCM faculty member and early music scholar Charlie Rasmussen will lead the three classes preceding the performance on Saturday, October 24, 5:00 pm, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
