Sean Hirthe is a recent graduate of Milwaukee High School of the Arts and a long time student of the Wisconsin Conservatory. Upon completion of his studies, Sean was awarded the Patrick S. Gilmore Wind Ensemble Award, the Jazz Department’s Outstanding Senior Award, The Scholar Athlete Award, and had qualified for the WSMA State competition four years in a row. He also graduated Valedictorian, Vice President of National Honor Society, active member of the Boy Scouts of America, and Cross Country Team Captain.
Sean has been involved with the Conservatory for many years as a private student, part of the recently created Jazz Institute, and now is involved with our summer internship.
His current plans are to pursue a music education degree in the fall at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he’ll be studying with acclaimed classical saxophonist Eugene Rousseau. |
